Preamble

QST, QST, QST. Calling the Johnson County Sunday Evening Net. This is __________, net control for this evening. My name is __________ and I am located in ____________________.

This net meets every Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. local time on the WØJV repeater in Iowa City.

This is an informal net and we encourage participants to share their ham radio news. This is, however, a directed net, so please direct all communications through net control.

When checking in, please clearly give the information requested. It is not necessary to give the net control station’s callsign, nor to announce whether or not you have traffic. Those with emergency traffic may break in at any time by using the words "break" or "break emergency" along with their callsign.

Check-ins

To begin check-ins, I first call the president of the Iowa City Amateur Radio Club and representatives of other organizations with official traffic. Please give your callsign, name, QTH, and official title.
